Minister Burnout
Statistics confirm the sad fact that most of God’s ministers are not able to enjoy their service as He desires – the majority do not minister with joy, the majority are not shown “double honor” by church members, and the majority are not compensated according to biblical teaching. As ambassadors of God’s grace, our ministers need to be given the same grace which they are biblically charged with giving to both believers and unbelievers. A pastor who does not regularly receive grace and encouragement from church members is a pastor unable to do his/her job with “joy” – and this is said by Scripture to be “unprofitable” for the church, and hence for church members.
